Mitu Samar

Mitu is a reputation consultant with two decades of experience in this space. After having worked with well-known companies like CRISIL, Standard & Poor's, Aditya Birla Capital, ICICI Prudential MF and The Great Eastern Shipping, she founded a reputation consultancy firm, ‘Eminence’. The company works with organisations and individuals in building, establishing and protecting their reputation through stakeholder engagement.

Mitu serves as an Independent Director on the boards of the Times group Companies namely Zoom Entertainment Network, Times Guaranty Limited and Aegon Life Insurance Company Limited.

As a certified leadership coach she actively coaches C-Suite leaders on making their presence impactful. This in turn enables them to strengthen their personal brand and reputation. She has coached over 30 senior professionals in the corporate world on growth and leadership.

Passionate about plugging the leaky pipeline of the female workforce, Mitu has mentored over 150 women and young professionals on how to succeed in professional life while maintaining a healthy balance in personal life, under CII Western Region Women Network’s initiative- ‘100 hours of change’. Mitu is actively involved with the academic world too with an objective to make students more corporate role ready. She is a member of ‘Board of Studies’ of the School of Modern Media and is a visiting faculty in many top-tier B-Schools.

The Consultant’s Review Magazine recently recognized Mitu as one of the ‘20 Most Promising Women Consultants’ in 2020. Additionally, For her contributions in the communications space, Mitu featured in the list of ’50 Most Talented Corporate Communication Leaders 2015’ by World CSR congress and received the ‘Promising Business Communicator 2010’ award from the Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI).

Mitu has pursued a Masters in Economics from Mumbai University and holds a Management degree in Business Administration from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research. She has authored several articles and research papers. She also regularly speaks at various industry forums.
